Some of you have been requesting some info about AMXBAN. Here you go!

1. What is amxban?

AmXBan(also known as XBan) is a system that was created for NON-Steam users. Its main goal is to provide a solid ban system by replacing the *missing* static Steam ID for NON-steam servers.

Currently, XBan runs as an amxmodx(link that) plugin and does NOT need client to install 3rd party software!

2. How it works?

XBan uses DILS user system to authenticate each player(Client) entering the server it is running on.

3. How to install (for hosters only)?

XBan must be installed as any other amxmodx plugin.

4. How to enter a server running AmXBan?

XBan requires a console command to be entered before connecting to any server.
Command: setinfo dils "your_dils_username_here"

5. What it does?

1. It takes the "setinfo dils" data the client typed in console before connecting. (setinfo dils "Cr0p")
2. It queries DILS user system to see if:
----Client is member on DILS.
----Client is logged in on DILS.
3. If Client fulfills those requirements, it is allowed in else it is kicked with reason!

Q. Plugin says "Wrong License key"
A. Check that localinfo command shows your key and restart server.(e.g localinfo key 123test123)

Q. Plugin says "No License was found for you! Make sure you are logged in on dils."
A. Make sure you are logged in on dils for the license you entered!

Q. Plugin says "Plugin is corrupted or a new version is available. [...]"
A. Do ensure you did NOT modify the plugin. If you did NOT, then most likely a new version was released and can be downloaded from the download section of dils.biz/cs.

Q. Plugin says "Error resolving remote hostname!"
A. Make sure you have an internet connection and that dils.biz/cs is not blacklisted in your firewall's settings.

Q. How to unban someone?
A. Banning only happens in a vote with minimum 6 players and lasts for 24hours.

Q. I cannot do "setinfo dils". It says "usage: setinfo [ ]".
A. If you are entering any symbol or spacing, then use the single/double quotes to wrap the text. (e.g setinfo dils "[*San CheZ*]")

7. RULES(concerning XBan)

Any hoster that is found/reported:
---- abusing the vote system,
---- intervening in the normal functioning of XBan,
---- using XBan to endanger fairplay,
---- showing general bad hosting behaviours,
will have their license suspended for an UNDEFINED period of time.

8. Additional Usage:

If Vote fails on a player, but you as hoster have proof that the player is hacking/showing-disrespect, you can report to any moderator via PrivateMessage ONLY.
Any player that have been reported by 2 or more hosters, shall be monitored until proper actions are taken.

On the other hand, a hoster that reports too often a player that is proven NOT to be hacking/showing-disrespect, will face severe consequences!

9. End-User Agreement:

By downloading, installing, running or re-distributing AmXBan, you agree to the following terms:
--- Acknowledge the information displayed about AmXBan on this page and related pages.
--- Re-distribute AmXBan(AS IT IS) only to members of this community.
--- NOT to intervene in the normal functioning of AmXBan in ANY way.
--- To accept appropriate sanction if any term of the agreement is breached.
